This is the newest version of q4X. To install this file you
will need to unzip it to your root Quake 4 folder.
For example (your actual path may be different):
C:\Program Files\id Software\Quake 4
This will create a new folder called "q4x" with
a file in it called pak0.pk4. This will be all you need to
actually play the game. If you want to run a server make sure
you check out our server
setup guide.
